This week, the Murphy DAWSON WAM Caugh Hill WTW Project & Site Delivery Team were delighted to support a Construction Careers Talk and interactive STEM session at St Patrick’s College, Dungiven, joined by students from Gaelcholáiste Dhoire Secondary School.
With over 50 students taking part, the afternoon focused on showcasing the wide range of career pathways available within the construction and engineering sector, including:
• Civil Engineering, Design, Mechanical & Electrical and Client roles
• Hands-on engagement with survey equipment and VR site experiences
• Support from the CITB NI Mobile Training Unit, offering practical careers insight and advice
• Open Q\&A sessions with industry professionals
The event was delivered in collaboration with Northern Ireland Water, Arup and CITB NI, and forms part of our ongoing commitment to social value, education outreach, and supporting local schools, particularly in areas that have seen limited previous construction engagement.
Thank you to all partners, teachers, and students involved, we look forward to building on this engagement in the future.
