Project Update! Works are progressing well at our Knockbracken Storm Overflow Upgrade for NI Water in Belfast.

The construction of the 940m3 stormwater storage tank and pipeline have now been completed!

The DAWSON WAM site team have been working late into the dark evenings to keep this project on track.

The project has been a challenging one with deep excavations, heavy groundwater, and hard rock requiring strategic pumping, settlement lagoons, and rock-breaking.

The Carryduff River crossing was successfully managed under a schedule 6 application with over-pumping, a temporary dam, and environmental safeguards, including electrofishing to protect the local wildlife and fish.

When commissioned, this new infrastructure will increase the network capacity and improve water quality in the Carryduff River. The site team are now commencing MEICA fit out & site finishes.
