National Apprenticeship week

We could hardly let National Apprenticeship week pass by without mentioning our Construction Employers Federation (CEF) awarded Apprentice of the Year Harry McFarland! DAWSON-WAM’s first engineering apprentice!

Harry joined us in 2022, his journey started in the Estimating department and quickly expanded to hands-on roles on-site, where he has taken on responsibilities in site management and logistics. His enthusiasm for learning and versatile approach has made him a valuable team member.

Beyond his daily tasks, Harry has actively promoted construction careers, participating in multiple CITB NI events to inspire students about apprenticeship opportunities. He has reached over 600 students and even earned a health and safety award for his school presentation!
