Upper Falls Wastewater Treatment Works

DAWSON WAM, in partnership with our JV partner Murphy, are proud to be working alongside Northern Ireland Water to deliver critical upgrades to the Upper Falls Wastewater Treatment Works (WwTW) in West Belfast.
The project, which commenced on site in early 2025, includes the conversion of previously decommissioned aeration tanks into stormwater storage tanks, as well as the construction of a new offline wastewater pumping station (WwPS).
Works have been progressing well, and the scheme is a great example of how new infrastructure can be integrated with reconfigured, previously abandoned assets. Once complete, the upgrade will significantly enhance the sewerage network capacity within the west Belfast catchment.
