London: Herne Hill King Post Wall
Solution
DAWSON-WAM were subcontracted to Higgins Construction to install a King Post Wall alongside a live Network Rail line to facilitate the construction of 36 apartments and 6 town houses within 2-4 storey high buildings.
King posts were installed using DAWSON-WAM’s Cased CFA system which allows piles to be installed without the risk of ‘flighting’ and creating instability in the neighbouring track.
The site team installed all king posts and precast panels in a 2 week programme. Works were completed on time and on budget utilising 100% DAWSON-WAM resources.
